I was doing research for a project and came across this great vintage tampon ad starring Brenda Vaccaro.
A couple questions:
- If Brenda Vaccaro doesn’t have a teenage daughter, as she claims, who are all those teen girls lounging by her pool?
- If Brenda Vaccaro doesn’t have a daughter, why does she say “my daughter, my advice” at the end?
- Seriously, is this Brenda Vaccaro’s house? Or is she at a public pool, in her silk blouse and work pants, just rappin’ about tampons and her non-existent daughter, while the local teens go about their business? Which of these options makes her seem less crazy?
Yes, I’ve watched this commercial at least ten times. SO WHAT?!?!
